[Master Class] Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering

The Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering is organising two master classes on May 11th and June 12th 2023. The classes are open to PhD students, researchers, engineers in academia and industrial sectors.

The programme focuses on Computational Systems Biology and Network Science in biology. It aims to introduce these topics through hands-on training.

Speaker

Karine AUDOUZE, Professor of systems biology and bioinformatics at Université Paris Cité. She works at the Inserm Unit 1124. In 2018, she founded the SysTox group, which aims at developing advanced computational tools and models by focusing on toxicology to better understand the effect of exposome on human health.

Programme

May 11, 2023 : Master Class - Practical Methods in Computational Systems Biology

Are you interested in combining mathematics, biology and data science to tackle the challenges of human health? Then this master class in computational systems biology is for you. This class, at the heart of modern biology and health research will enable you to acquire the skills needed to produce effective research in bioinformatics and computational biology.

Objectives

During this masterclass, you will:

  • Get acquainted with the main theories and principles of systems biology
  • Become familiar with the different tools and methods for data interpretation and hypothesis formulation in biological science
  • Gain hands-on experience in designing models to better understand biological problems, interactions between different entities in living systems and the environment
