Le D\u00e9partement Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences (HPS), cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 2004, constitue une unit\u00e9 transversale de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, en lien avec de nombreuses UFR de Sciences et de M\u00e9decine.<\/p>\n

Il promeut une approche transdisciplinaire dans l\u2019\u00e9tude des sciences, qui articule syst\u00e9matiquement\u00a0: tout d\u2019abord, une philosophie attentive aux th\u00e9ories, aux concepts et aux pratiques propres aux diff\u00e9rents champs du savoir scientifique ; ensuite, une perspective historique, qui ne s\u00e9pare jamais les savoirs de leur histoire, de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la p\u00e9riode contemporaine ; enfin, une attention aux enjeux sociaux et politiques des sciences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Le D\u00e9partement HPS est \u00e9galement caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par une forte ouverture \u00e0 des aires culturelles et linguistiques vari\u00e9es, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son lien \u00e9troit avec le laboratoire SPHERE, unique au monde pour son expertise dans les savoirs en langue chinoise, m\u00e9sopotamienne, indienne, arabe et h\u00e9bra\u00efque entre autres, et dont les chercheurs enseignent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans le d\u00e9partement.<\/p>\n

Le D\u00e9partement d’Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences (HPS) offre, au niveau master, une formation compl\u00e8te en histoire et philosophie des sciences : le Master HPS, qui couvre exhaustivement tous les aspects conceptuels, historiques et socio-politiques des sciences (math\u00e9matiques, physique, chimie, sciences du vivant et m\u00e9decine). Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un programme synth\u00e9tique et complet d\u2019enseignements situ\u00e9 au carrefour de la philosophie, de l\u2019histoire, de la sociologie des sciences et de la me\u0301decine, mettant l\u2019accent sur les enjeux a\u0300 la fois philosophiques, e\u0301piste\u0301mologiques et socio-politiques de toutes les sciences telles qu\u2019elles se pratiquent.<\/p>\n

Le Master \u00ab\u00a0Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb (HPS) recouvre trois parcours de master distincts<\/strong> : le parcours \u00ab\u00a0Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb ; le parcours \u00ab\u00a0Humanit\u00e9s, sant\u00e9 et biom\u00e9decine\u00a0\u00bb ; et le parcours \u00ab\u00a0LOGOS\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

A compter de l’ann\u00e9e universitaire 2025-26, le parcours de master \u00ab\u00a0Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb (pour le M1 et le M2 itin\u00e9raire Recherche, \u00e0 l’exclusion de l’itin\u00e9raire Professionnel) ainsi que le parcours de master \u00ab\u00a0Humanit\u00e9s, sant\u00e9 et biom\u00e9decine\u00a0\u00bb pourront \u00eatre suivis et valid\u00e9s soit en pr\u00e9sentiel soit \u00e0 distance<\/strong> (les enseignements \u00e9tant les m\u00eames pour les deux formules).<\/p>\n

Le parcours de master \u00ab\u00a0Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong> Il propose une introduction g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste \u00e0 la philosophie des sciences comme \u00e0 l\u2019histoire des sciences, ainsi qu\u2019une sp\u00e9cialisation progressive dans l\u2019une des sous-disciplines enseign\u00e9es. Le Master HPS est conc\u0327u pour accueillir des e\u0301tudiants venant d\u2019horizons tre\u0300s varie\u0301s (philosophie, histoire des sciences, histoire, mathe\u0301matiques, sciences physiques, biologie, me\u0301decine), et pour permettre a\u0300 tous, en deux ans, quelle que soit leur formation initiale, tout a\u0300 la fois d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir une culture ge\u0301ne\u0301rale en philosophie et en histoire des sciences, de se familiariser avec les outils me\u0301thodologiques de re\u0301flexion sur les sciences, et d\u2019approfondir progressivement une the\u0301matique pre\u0301cise.<\/p>\n

Ce parcours recouvre au niveau M2 d\u2019une part un itin\u00e9raire Professionnel, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer l\u2019orientation professionnelle des \u00e9tudiants vers les m\u00e9tiers du patrimoine et de la m\u00e9diation scientifique, et d\u2019autre part un itin\u00e9raire de recherche, lequel peut se prolonger par un travail doctoral, notamment au sein de l\u2019\u00c9cole doctorale \u00ab Savoirs, Sciences, \u00c9ducation \u00bb (ED 623) d\u2019Universite\u0301 Paris Cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le parcours de master \u00ab\u00a0Humanit\u00e9s, sant\u00e9 et biom\u00e9decine\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> partage un nombre important d’enseignements avec le parcours \u00ab\u00a0Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb, mais en organisant une sp\u00e9cialisation en histoire et philosophie de la m\u00e9decine et de la sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Le parcours de master LOGOS<\/strong>, enfin, propose une formation transdisciplinaire couvrant l\u2019ensemble des sciences du langage, de la linguistique l\u2019informatique fondamentale en passant par la philosophie des sciences et la logique math\u00e9matique. Ses enseignements proviennent de quatre Masters de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 : le Master HPS, le Master de Sciences du langage, le Master de Logique Math\u00e9matique et le Master \u00ab Math\u00e9matiques et Informatique \u00bb. Ce parcours de master s’adresse donc \u00e0 des \u00e9tudiants ayant une formation minimale en logique, en linguistique ou en math\u00e9matiques. Il vise \u00e0 fournir un ensemble complet de comp\u00e9tences formelles, concernant par exemple le Traitement Automatique du Langage, mais aussi une connaissance globale des environnements th\u00e9oriques et des enjeux conceptuels impliqu\u00e9s par l\u2019analyse et la repr\u00e9sentation du langage.<\/p>\n
