This doctoral school is multidisciplinary, bringing together around 250 doctoral students in the field of life sciences with a strong emphasis on biology, medicine and health. The doctoral school covers the main areas of integrated physiology and pathophysiology at the cellular, tissue and body levels.

ED 450: Research in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology (PSY²)

Created in 2001, the doctoral school Research in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology (ED 450) is located in the UFR IHSS (Institute of Humanities, Sciences and Societies) of the Université Paris Cité. The doctoral training promotes the interdisciplinarity between psychoanalytic studies, clinical psychopathology and a recent openness to political studies and science.

ED 472: École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE)

The École Pratique des Hautes Études doctoral school, a member of the doctoral college of the Université Paris Sciences et Lettres, brings together all the lecturers, researchers, and doctoral students working within the EPHE, i.e. around 600 doctoral students. It includes three specializations: “History, Documents and Texts”; “Religions and Thought Systems”; “Integrated Systems, the Environment and Biodiversity”.

ED 474: Frontiers of Innovation in Research and Education (FIRE)

The FIRE doctoral school is hosted by Université Paris Cité and co-hosted by PSL University. It promotes interdisciplinary research projects (biology, physics, computer science, genetics, cognitive sciences, medicine, human and social sciences, etc.) with the aim of understanding living systems and / or exploring new ways of teaching, learn and do research.

ED 515: Complexity of Life (CdV)

The CdV doctoral school is supported by Sorbonne Université and is co-accredited with Université Paris Sciences et Lettres. The thematic scope of the doctoral school covers a large part of the disciplines related to living organisms, including genetics and genomics, biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biology and developmental biology, microbiology and immunology, bioinformatics and evolution.

ED 561: Hematology, Oncogenesis and Biotherapies (HOB)

The Hematology, Oncogenesis and Biotherapies doctoral school is run by the Saint-Louis Research Institute, Université Paris Cité. It supports experimental and translational work aimed at elucidating specific oncogenesis mechanisms of different types of solid or hematopoietic tumors in order to improve the physiopathological knowledge of cancers, and to develop medical tools for their management (diagnosis, treatment and follow-up).

ED 562 : Bio Sorbonne Paris Cité (Bio-SPC)

The Bio Sorbonne Paris Cité doctoral school results from the merger of the B3MI doctoral school of Paris Diderot University and the Gc2iD doctoral school of Paris Descartes University. The scientific scope of this ED covers Cellular and Molecular Biology, Development, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Genetics, Neurobiology, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Reproduction, and Aging.

ED 563: Medicines – Toxicology – Chemistry – Imaging (MTCI)

The MTCI doctoral school is run by Université Paris Cité and has benefited since June 2016 from co-accreditation with Paris Sciences et Lettres. The doctoral school covers a broad multidisciplinary field, ranging from fundamental issues to clinical applications, with biomedical and therapeutic research as a common thread.

ED 564: Physics in Ile-de-France (PIF)

The doctoral school PIF is run by the PSL University and co-accredited by the universities of Paris, Paris-Saclay and Sorbonne. Its scientific field essentially covers the physics of fundamental interactions, the quantum physics of diluted or condensed matter, statistical physics, physics of soft or biological matter, but also the fundamental aspects of optics, acoustics, and hydrodynamics.

ED 567: Plant Sciences: from genes to ecosystems (SEVE)

The SEVE doctoral school offers research training in the field of plant research (and beyond by integrating other non-plant biological models) and all its methodological and analytical approaches. These studies range from the gene to the ecosystem, and use the concepts and tools of biochemistry, biophysics, imaging, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, cell biology, modelling and bioinformatics.

ED 568: Signaling and integrative networks in biology (BIOSIGNE)

Within Paris-Saclay university, the BIOSIGNE doctoral school brings together research teams studying signalling and communication mechanisms in biology, and in particular in the fields of Neuroscience, Endocrinology, Neuroendocrinology, Reproduction and Immunology. Research work of the teams covers all aspects of the living, from the molecule to behaviour.
