Project Summary

Decision and Bayesian Computation (DBC)—Epiméthée (EPI) is a lab at the Institut Pasteur that hosts theoretical physicists and applied mathematicians. We are a mixed unit Pasteur – INRIA – CNRS – UPC with three tenured scientists.

Our research interests focus on the organising principles of biological information processing. More precisely, We seek these organising principles in the physics underlying their computations and the physics of their sensory environments.

Our current research topics are embodied neuroAI and neuroscience:

  • In embodied neuroAI we investigate the relation between body and central nervous system in the drosophila larva.
  • In neuroscience, we investigate probabilistic aspects in medical decision-making related to analysing fetal MRI and patient EEGs.
