An Official Visit to Foster Exchange of Expertise

The purpose of this visit was to promote the exchange of expertise and best practices in addressing common challenges: strengthening the employability of young graduates and supporting economic development through engineering programs aligned with labor market needs.

A Meeting Focused on Sharing and Quality

This meeting took place within the framework of implementing the new law guiding higher education in Cameroon, which aims to strengthen the quality, relevance, and international openness of academic programs. The main objective was to share educational experiences and best practices between the two countries, particularly around the competency-based approach, a cornerstone of EIDD’s engineering training model.

EIDD’s Experience as a Source of Inspiration

As a young engineering school fully integrated into Université Paris Cité, EIDD presented its educational model, academic and industrial partnerships, and its professionalization strategy centered on competency, innovation, and interdisciplinarity.The discussions covered several key topics:

  • The challenges of program quality, particularly the “system” concept specific to the structuring of EIDD’s specialties;
  • School-corporate relations, central to engineering employability;
  • Program evaluation, budget, double degrees, and international mobility.

This session, both rich and instructive, allowed the Cameroonian officials to discover a global and systemic approach to engineering education in France. EIDD’s development left a strong impression and sparked significant interest from the delegation.
