Pr. Souad Ammar fait partie du laboratoire ITODYS depuis 2003, 5 ans après avoir rejoint Université Paris Cité en tant qu'Assistante de Recherche et d'Enseignement, puis en tant que Professeur Associé. Depuis l'obtention de son poste de Professeur titulaire en 2008, elle est très active tant sur le plan scientifique que sur le plan de la gestion. Elle dirige une équipe qui comprend 7 chercheurs permanents, a été doyenne du département de chimie (2012-2017), est actuellement vice-doyenne de l'école d'ingénieurs Denis Diderot (depuis 2017), a coordonné des dizaines de projets financés au niveau national et international et est très active dans la construction de Université Paris Cité (intégrant les conseils des facultés des sciences et des humanités ainsi que le Sénat de l'université). En tant qu'experte en nanomatériaux fonctionnels (inorganiques et hybrides), elle est l'auteur de plus de 200 articles, a participé à plus de 300 conférences internationales (souvent en tant que conférencière invitée), a été nommée professeur invité dans plusieurs universités à l'étranger (UNAM au Mexique, UnB au Brésil, Sfax et Bizerte en Tunisie, Tohoku et Shiga-Prefecture au Japon), a supervisé plus de 40 projets doctoraux et post-doctoraux et est un membre actif du laboratoire régional d'excellence SEAM, animant son axe de recherche sur les matériaux fonctionnels. Sa direction dynamique et expérimentée permettra sans aucun doute de potentialiser les résultats positifs du chapitre MRS de Paris.

Pr. Souad Ammar has been part of Laboratory ITODYS since 2003, 5 years after joining the University as Research and Teaching Assistant and later as Associate Professor. Since obtaining her tenured Professor position in 2008, she has been very active both scientifically and in management. She leads a team that includes 7 permanent researchers, was dean of the Chemistry department (2012-2017), is currently vice-dean of the Denis Diderot Engineering School (since 2017), has coordinated dozens of national and international funded projects and is very active in the construction of the Université Paris Cité (integrating the councils of the Science and of the Humanities faculties as well as the University’s Senate). As an expert in functional nanomaterials (inorganics and hybrids), she has authored over 200 papers, has attended more than 300 international conferences (often as invited speaker), was appointed as visiting professor at several Universities abroad (UNAM in Mexico, UnB in Brazil, Sfax and Bizerte in Tunisia, Tohoku and Shiga-Prefecture in Japan), has supervised over 40 doctoral and post-doctoral projects and is an active member of SEAM regional laboratory of excellence, animating its functional material research axis. Her dynamic and experienced guidance will undoubtedly potentialize the positive outcomes of the Paris MRS Chapter.
