The COVIDSCAPES linguistic landscape analysis programme is “celebrating” its first pandemic anniversary. For this occasion, Matthieu Louis-Jean, whose internship ends on the 1st of June, concocted a short presentation clip that you can find below.

Initially conceived as a participatory research programme under the GRIP’s first Axis ‘Global Urbanities’, COVIDSCAPES is now being deployed as a training-through-research tool, in a collaboration initiated with the CRI/Institut des Défis in march 2020. While all the elements intended to train master’s and doctoral students are the subject of a brief presentation on the GRIP website, those interested in university pedagogy can follow the program’s progress regularly updated, among the winning projects of U-Lab/Institut des Défis.
An infographic also shows all the tasks and training sequences currently being created, which should be implemented in October 2021 on a dedicated bilingual website, centralising the research and training aspects of COVIDSCAPES.
