Quantum Devices pathway

The Master’s degree Quantum Devices is a theoretical and experimental training on several types of quantum phenomena with a particular emphasis on devices. In this context, fundamental and applied research have been mutually enriched: theoretical progress has always been accompanied by parallel progress in materials engineering (invention of new materials, control of their elaboration) and in investigation techniques (local probe microscopies, electron microscopies,…). These advances, crowned by several Nobel prizes, have important impacts both in fundamental physics (generation and manipulation of photonic, electronic, magnetic, superconducting states, …), and for future applications (devices for quantum information, semiconductor sources and detectors, new low-dimensional materials, nanomaterials, molecular electronics …).
