Sociologue (CEPED/IRD) / Sociologist (CEPED/IRD)Fanny Chabrol est sociologue chargée de recherche à l’IRD au CEPED/IRD. Ses travaux portent sur les dynamiques sociales et politiques contemporaines liées à la santé en Afrique subsaharienne. Après avoir conduit des recherches liées à la santé globale, le VIH/sida, les co-infections et comorbidités (VIH, hépatites, TB), elle consacre ses travaux à l’heure actuelle à la transformation des systèmes hospitaliers et la construction de nouveaux hôpitaux, notamment au Niger et au Mali, aux enjeux de réforme des systèmes de santé autour de la couverture sanitaire universelle, aux mobilisations citoyennes et à la rénovation des infrastructures de santé.
Fanny Chabrol is a sociologist at the CEPED/IRD. Her work focuses on contemporary social and political dynamics related to health in Sub-Saharan Africa. After conducting research related to global health, HIV/AIDS, co-infections and co-morbidities (HIV, hepatitis, TB), she is currently devoting her work to the transformation of hospital systems and the construction of new hospitals, particularly in Niger and Mali, to the challenges of reforming health systems around universal health coverage, to the citizen mobilization and the renovation of health infrastructures.
