Du 9 au 11 septembre 2025, la Paris Graduate School of Linguistics organise le LingFest, une formation intensive en linguistique pour préparer l’entrée dans les masters qu’elle fédère.
La formation s’adresse également aux étudiants d’autres écoles doctorales désireux de se former en linguistique.
L’inscription est gratuite mais obligatoire – formulaire à venir.

Language Phonetics and Phonology
Phonetics covers phonetic inventories; understanding the IPA alphabet; practicing IPA transcription. Phonology covers phonemic inventories; spotting phonemes and allophones

Language Syntax
This course is an introduction to syntactic theory and analysis. After defining syntax, its objects and its goals, the basic concepts of formal syntax will be presented and put into practice (lexical categories, constituency, rewriting rules…).Finally the X-bar Theory will be introduced.

Language Semantics and Pragmatics
This course offers an introduction to the study of semantics and pragmatics across languages, and covers a broad range of topics and issues, including e.g. quantification, tense-aspect, modality, implicatures and entailments, the semantics/pragmatics interface, and discourse coherence/structure.
