Conditions for internship (by program)

The internship is in a block of courses including the “project in NLP”. The student can either choose:

• to do only the “project in NLP” (recommended for students who wish to apply for the Computational Linguistics master’s program)
• do only an instenship (minimum duration = 40 hours). The internship is not graded, but it must be validated. To do so, the internship tutor must send this form or this form to the School office, with a copy to the head of the L3 LI program.
• Or do both the “project in NLP” and an internship

M1

• No mandatory internship

M2

• The second semester of M2 is entirely devoted to a research internship (with the writing of a M2 thesis) or an internship in a company (with the writing of a report).
• Both kinds of internships should have a minimum duration of 4 months, but 6 months or more is strongly recommended.
• Both kinds of internships conclude by an oral presentation in front of a jury (from the Computational Linguistics professors)
• The choice of the internship is made in agreement with the pedagogical director of the year, who also signs the convention (teacher-referent).

M2

• The last semester may be dedicated either to the writing of a thesis or to a long internship, of 4 to 6 month.
