Physics

Two rheophysics and biomechanics platforms are available to Labex members and are also accessible to other public or private research teams according to various terms and conditions.

Rheophysics platform

Location: Matter and Complex Systems laboratory, 10 rue Alice Domon et Léonie Duquet, 75013 Paris
Manager: Alain PONTON
The rheophysical platform comprises rotational rheometers equipped with different geometries allowing flow (viscosity) and viscoelasticity measurements at controlled temperature in fluids up to pasty materials. A coupled optical device allows simultaneous observation of micron structures with or without shear. Measurements under the application of a continuous magnetic field are also possible. This platform is associated with another complementary physico-chemical platform.
