International mobility is a highly valued experience in the career path of PhD holders, provided it is part of a clear and well-prepared professional strategy. Working or applying abroad requires understanding the cultural and organizational specificities of recruitment processes, as well as adapting communication, applications, and professional behavior to a new environment. This training helps PhD candidates and recent graduates anticipate the challenges of international mobility, develop a coherent career plan, and position themselves effectively in the international job market, both for departure and upon return.

The main objectives of this training are to enable participants to:

  • Understand the specificities of international recruitment processes
  • Adapt application materials and professional communication to the context of their mobility project
  • Develop the ability to present themselves effectively and with impact in an international context

Programme

Module 1: Understanding the international recruitment process

  • Discover the recruitment process from the recruiter’s perspective
  • Learn the specifics of the international recruitment process
  • Know the resources to further understand the recruitment process in a given geographical area

 

Module 2: Preparing your application

  • Understand the concept of skills as the basis of communication with recruiters
  • Analyze a job offer
  • Learn to adapt your CV according to your professional plan and the geographical area

 

Module 3: Preparing to Return

    • Prepare for the return
    • Anchor international mobility within a long-term career project and define each participant’s individual strategy
