Synopsis:

Lola has secured a PhD place in the lab she wanted, with Sylvia Vargas as her supervisor. Sylvia Vargas is a leading figure in Lola’s field of research… it’s an unexpected stroke of luck for her. Lola has to rise to the challenge… especially as she’s aiming for a postdoc.
Vargas supports Lola in an encouraging, even rewarding way, in contrast to the treatment meted out to the other PhD student: Saïd…

Total commitment: calls and emails at all hours, meetings at the weekend… Lola needs a breather. This marks the beginning of her downfall: humiliation, impossible deadlines, neglect…
Lola wants to speak to the doctoral school and the CSI about it, but Saïd and Pedro, a research engineer, talk her out of it…
