MOOC Research integrity in scientific professions

Summary

This course is conceived as a MOOC (« Massive Open Online Course »).
Once your registration to the course is confirmed by the Trainings Departement on AMETHIS, the course will have to be followed online independently via the link you will receive in your student email inbox.

-→ Registrations for this MOOC will be made from the 1st of September 2026 until the 20th of July 2027.

-→ The training needs to be completed by the 26th of August 2027. Last results check done by the Trainings Departement on the 27th of August 2027.

This course is scheduled to take place over five weeks with an average of 3 hours of work per week. You will be able to follow this training at your own pace because the entire course will be immediately accessible and will remain open continuously, but the most efficient pace is one module per week.

How is the training organized ?

The training is organized in five modules, each module being composed of several sequences. Each sequence will include videos, texts, animations, surveys, films, etc. but also additional resources to further explore the theme. At the end of each module, a quiz will allow you to validate your good understanding of the issues addressed.

Program

Module 1 outlines the issues of research integrity.
Module 2 focuses on clarifying what constitutes scientific misconducts and their origins.
Module 3 specifies certain rules to prevent scientific misconducts.
Module 4 deals with the regulation of these misconducts, through collective arrangements or through the researcher’s individual responsibility.

While the reflection on the different dimensions of scientific integrity is global, the elements relating to the institutional framework focus on the French case.

Informations

How to validate the course ?

The success threshold for obtaining the certificate of completion is set at 80% correct answers in each of the quizzes provided at the end of each module. Module 0 does not include any quizzes.

-→ Please note that your results will not appear automatically on your AMETHIS account. The Trainings Departement will check the results on FUN Campus each Friday at noon and manually add in the results to AMETHIS.
The results will be checked once a week, every Friday, during the whole academic year.
