From January 24 to 26th, 2023, the Circle U. Think and Do Tank invites you to seminars, workshops and roundtables around sustainable education, curriculum transformation and teaching methods to create and promote a sustainable education for a sustainable world.
Circle U. European University Alliance: Université Paris Cité, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, King’s College, London, UCLouvain, University of Oslo, Aarhus University, University of Belgrade, Université of Pisa and Université of Vienna.
Sustainable Education
Sustainable education seeks to identify innovative and creative teaching and learning methods by focusing on interdisciplinary knowledge and considering student input. Circle U.’s Think and Do Tank has critically explored the concept of sustainable education and its translation into educational practice by identifying relevant bodies of literature, drawing out implicit assumptions, and mapping different rationales. The research carried out by the Think and Do Tank’s Academic Chairs and a group of students from six partner universities, as well as the seminar, will establish a dialogue between the Think and Do Tank and the alliance’s Knowledge Hubs.
In this respect, the project will make a key contribution to Circle U.’s global effort to create and promote sustainable education for a sustainable world. A roundtable discussion will provide an opportunity to identify the aspects of sustainable education on which to develop collaborative research and educational development projects that can move these elements forward and translate them into the field of research, practice and educational policy. We will discover pedagogical innovations that are applicable to the field of global health, which is one of the Knowledge Hubs of Circle U. coordinated by Université Paris Cité.
