Université Paris Cité Initiative of Excellence

In March 2022, Université Paris Cité was permanently awarded the “Initiative d’Excellence” (IdEx) label. This decision confirms the success of the university’s creation in 2020 as a world-class, multidisciplinary, research-intensive institution, committed to student success and engaged with society. Université Paris Cité uses the financial endowment provided by the IdEx label to support its institutional strategy, complementing other available resources.
As part of its IdEx, Université Paris Cité implements transformative, innovative and structuring programs in research, international affairs, education, student life, innovation, sustainable development, social and environmental responsibility, and to support the administrative transformation of the institution. These programs are funded by revenues from an endowment granted to the university under the IdEx label and are deployed in collaboration with research organizations and partner institutions.
