Course overview
Under the supervision of the Franco-Italian University, an integrated Franco-Italian history programme leads to a Master’s degree in Historical Sciences (‘Scienze storiche’) from the University of Bologna, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy (Scienze storiche e orientalistiche – Laurea Magistrale – Bologna), and the Master’s Degree in Research with a specialisation in ‘History, Civilisations, Heritage’. Students spend the first year of their Master’s degree in their respective countries and the second year in the partner country.
Skills and competencies developed
Students participating in the programme will take part in educational activities at both universities with the aim of acquiring skills related to critical understanding of historical processes and interactions between different societies, economies and cultures. Learning documentary analysis techniques and qualitative and quantitative research methods in an international and multidisciplinary context is also one of the programme’s strengths.
