Since September 2024, all Université Paris Cité students can sign up for the Buddy System. It is a mentoring online platform enabling local students to help and support new international students settle in at UPCité. Local students become mentors or buddies who are paired up with international students as mentees.

Why have a mentor?

Are you an international student and need some help? You can be paired with a local student during your studies at Université Paris Cité. Your mentor will accompany you and help you discover the campuses, get around Paris as well as with other activities such as dealing with administrative formalities, practicing French, another language or exploring French culture. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people during your academic journey at the university.

Why become a mentor?

Are you a local student looking for an intercultural experience before going to study abroad? You can be put in touch with a mentee who will enable you to practice a foreign language, or simply welcome and accompany international students during their studies at UPCité. It’s a great way to share experiences and give advice to your peers.

How to sign up?

You can now sign up with your student @etu-u-paris.fr e-mail address directly on the Buddy System platform.
