As part of the partnership between Université Paris Cité and Sciences Po, a new call for proposals has been launched to identify large-scale, interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects addressing major contemporary issues. This call will take place in two stages: an initial phase dedicated to the call for expressions of interest (AMI), followed by a second phase dedicated to the call for proposals (AAP). The deadline for submitting letters of intent is 16 November 2026 at 1.00 pm.
As part of their bilateral partnership, Sciences Po and Université Paris Cité are launching the ‘Sciences Po & Université Paris Cité Interdisciplinary Research’ call for proposals. The aim is to foster the development of new, innovative, interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects, drawing on the complementary expertise of the two institutions.
Each project must be co-led by a principal investigator from Université Paris Cité and a principal investigator from Sciences Po, each from a different discipline. One of the disciplines represented must be in the humanities and social sciences.
Two to four projects will be selected, each receiving funding between €200,000 and €300,000. The funds may be spent from September 2027 until 31 December 2030. Projects must demonstrate scientific excellence, an innovative and interdisciplinary approach, and the ability to enhance the visibility of the partnership between the two institutions.

How to submit a project
The letter of intent may be written in French or English, following the suggested outline. If a project is shortlisted in the first phase, the proposals submitted for the second phase must be written in English.
Letters of intent must be sent to the following address: mathilde.croquet@sciencespo.fr, by 16 November at 1.00 pm (Paris time) at the latest. Any letters received after this date will not be considered. Only shortlisted projects will proceed to the second phase, which is the call for proposals. Full project proposals must then be submitted by 15 March 2027 at 1.00 pm (Paris time) at the latest.
