The Quantum Technologies Graduate School is organising a one-day introductory session on quantum programming, led by Vivien Londe, a quantum computing specialist at Alice&Bob. The aim of the day is to implement well-known quantum algorithms using a quantum software development environment through two practical classes.
Program
9 am-12 pm: Phase estimation
In the morning session, explore quantum phase estimation, a key idea behind future breakthroughs in computing and chemistry, and how to implement it.
2 pm-5pm: Hamiltonian simulation
In the afternoon session, discover how quantum computers can help us simulate quantum systems and estimate their energy.
Prerequisites
No prior quantum programming is required, but basic knowledge of python and quantum information is recommended.
The workshop is taught in english.
All quantum Masters and PhD students, postdocs and academics from Université Paris Cité are welcome to register.
Please note that this session is free but registration is mandatory since attendance will be limited.
