On 11th December 2025, Campus France awarded Université Paris Cité the “Bienvenue en France” Label, Level 2, recognising the university’s commitment to offering a high-quality welcome for international students.
The “Bienvenue en France” Label
Granted for a period of five years, the “Bienvenue en France” Label recognises higher education institutions committed to improving and promoting their services for welcoming international students. This distinction highlights the internationalisation and attractiveness of Université Paris Cité.
Reviewed by an independent committee, the label recognises excellence across multiple criteria : quality and accessibility of information, quality and accessibility of welcome facilities, courses accessibility and assistance, housing and quality of campus life, commitment to sustainable development and social and environmental responsibility.
Welcoming international students at UPCité
- The Be Our Guest programme, designed to facilitate administrative procedures and settling in France, especially through the Online Welcome Desk, which centralises all useful information from three months before departure until one month after arrival.
- The presence of International Relations Offices and welcome officers within the three faculties, providing dedicated support to international students
- A welcome desk managed by the Campus Life Department.
- An academic offer that includes courses taught in English.
- A housing offer, as well as support for finding accommodation.
- Welcome and integration events, such as the Welcome Week, as well as intercultural and community-building events held throughout the year within the faculties, including La Traverseine.
- A peer mentoring programme via the online platform Buddy System, available since 2024.
The granting of this label reflects the collective commitment of Université Paris Cité’s teams, both at a central level and within the faculties. It required the mobilisation of the International Relations Department, with a dedicated staff member coordinating and preparing the labelling application. As for the Campus Life Department, International Relations Offices and international welcome officers, they are all actively involved in supporting international students on a daily basis.
