Erasmus+ Study Mobility (Europe)
The Erasmus+ program (European Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) promotes student mobility between European universities and higher education institutions, offering them the opportunity to study in Europe.
Many countries participate in this exchange programme, including: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for ERASMUS study mobility, the student must, at the time of application :
- be registered at Université Paris Cité as part of a national degree (in the case of a co-qualifying degree, administrative registration must be made at the university)
- have validated the 1st year of the bachelor’s degree; students wishing to go abroad during their second year (L2) will only be able to undertake their mobility in the second semester (S4).
All students regularly enrolled at Université Paris Cité are eligible regardless of their nationality.
International students (outside Europe) must have a valid residence permit for the entire duration of their mobility.

Required Language Level
Although language certificates (TOEFL, IELTS , etc.) were not always required for Erasmus exchanges, more partner universities are now requesting them. For instance, Imperial College London requires an IELTS score of 7. The required type of certificate and the expected level are usually indicated on the university’s website.

Important : applications for an Erasmus mobility are usually open from January to February of the year before the mobility.
