From the 10th to the 14th of December 2024, the Circle U. European university alliance invites you to slip into the shoes of a diplomat by taking part in the Circle U. Model United Nations organised in Brussels. This year, the debates will focus on the theme of artificial intelligence. Come and talk to students from all over the world and represent one of the United Nations countries.

A new edition focused on artificial intelligence
The Circle U. Model United Nations (CU. MUN) will introduce you to diplomacy and international relations. During this event, you will have the opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of one of the UN delegates. Join the debates and find collective answers to most pressing global challenges.
This new edition will be held in Brussels, the European capital, from the 10th to the 14th of December 2024.
This year, the discussions will focus on the use of artificial intelligence and the issues surrounding its regulation.
To ensure you have everything you need to make the most of this experience, online preparation sessions will be available for selected candidates.
Why signing up?
Taking part in CU. MUN it is :
1. Being part of an immersive international experience
2. Meeting geopolitical experts
3. Developping your skills: public speaking, negotiation, collaboration, etc.
4. Analysing in depth the impact of artificial intelligence on education, health, the environment and the geopolitical balance.
How to register?
You can pre-register directly on the MUN website.
Pre-registration is open until the 11th of September.
Selection criteria
Once you have pre-registered, you will be invited for an online interview during which you will be evaluated on your:
1. General knowledge of the United Nations (institutions, activities, etc.)
2. Motivation for the project
3. Level of English, a minimum of B1 is required
4. Public speaking, your force of persuasion and improvisation skills
What costs are involved?
The registration fee for the CU. MUN will be €100. Travel costs (transportation, accommodation and meals, etc.) will not be reimbursed. Université Paris Cité will propose the coverage of some registration fees and some mobility grants to the candidates who will stand out during the interview and who respect the university criteria.
If you are selected to take part in this wonderful experience, you will receive an e-mail at the end of your interview inviting you to apply on MoveOn for a mobility grant and to have your enrolment fees covered. The Circle U. team at UPCité will analyse your application and get back to you to tell you what to do next.
