Building on its privileged partnership between Université Paris Cité (UPCité) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), three calls for proposals were launched in 2025, giving both institutions’ communities the opportunity to further strengthen and expand their collaboration.
The National University of Singapore is a strategic partner of Université Paris Cité. Since 2013, both institutions have jointly funded a wide range of initiatives in mobility, research, and educational innovation led by their academic communities.
The Paris-NUS Calls for Proposals
This partnership is designed to support interdisciplinary projects, consolidate lasting cooperation, and foster the emergence of new collaborations between Paris and Singapore.
In October 2025, three calls were launched:
- Research Projects (up to €50,000 per project)
- Doctoral Mobility (€5,000 per project)
- Innovative Projects in Higher Education (up to €50,000 per project)
All projects are funded over a two-year period (April 2026 – April 2028) and were assessed on the strength of their scientific quality, their potential for long-term collaboration beyond the grant period, and their ability to contribute to a broader, structured network of cooperation.
Results and Awarded Projects 2026
Following a joint evaluation process, the Paris-NUS committee selected 12 projects spanning a wide range of disciplines, reflecting the depth and dynamism of the partnership.
Women’s health is a key area within the partnership between UPCité and NUS. In this context, the Singapore office, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS, and Université Paris Cité’s Interdisciplinary Institute for Women’s Health (iWISH) have worked together to secure additional funding, making it possible to support two further projects in this field beyond the initial selection.
