From January 23rd to 27th, 2023, on the celebration of the United Nation’s International Day of Education, Université Paris Cité will host and organise the Circle U. Week for the Future of Higher Education and Research.Join us and discover all the events.

Circle U. European University Alliance: Université Paris Cité, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, King’s College, London, UCLouvain, University of Oslo, Aarhus University, University of Belgrade, Université of Pisa and Université of Vienna.

Focus on Internationalisation and Cooperation in Higher Education

For one week, Université Paris Cité welcomes research, academic, staff and student communities as well as the general public to a series of in-person and online events. Participants will be able to take part in a wide range of activities aimed at exploring the successes and challenges of internationalisation and cooperation. We will tackle the concerns of shared education, the links between internationalisation of curricula and innovative teaching methods, and ways to cooperate more effectively in research.

Conferences, workshops, networking and more

Conferences, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, etc… Université Paris Cité, the Circle U. European University alliance in partnership with the Learning Planet Institute will propose events as opportunities to share the enthusiasm for internationalisation, cooperation and innovation in the context of higher education and research.

Students Taking Center Stage

Students collaborating alongside with the Chairs of the Circle U. Think and Do Tank will have the opportunity to present their research on Sustainable Education to a broad audience during the Learning Planet Festival.  Conference and other activities will be accessible to the general public through live streaming.

Pratical Information

Arriving in Paris

From the airport Charles de Gaulle, it is possible to get a taxi or a train to Paris.

Official Taxis: The trip is a flat rate from Aeroport Charles de Gaulle, around 53 euros to any address in the Right Bank and 58 euros to any address in the Left Bank (cash or card). Taxis are located right in front the airport and you may follow the directions in the terminal.

RER Train: There is a suburban line RERB from the Airport Paris Charles de Gaulle to Paris city center. The train ticket costs around 10 euros and you can purchase your tickets at the cashier or at the machines. From the Orly airport, it is also possible to get a taxi or a bus to Paris.

Official Taxis: The trip is around 45 euros and takes around 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Bus: The least costly way from Paris Orly airport to the city center is to take the “Orly Bus” which goes to Denfert Rochereau.

Getting around Paris

We recommend you use Paris’s public transport to travel to the conference location sites through the RATP metro lines, RER suburban lines or by bus. To plan your trip: RATP

This Circle U. National Conference takes place in accordance with the city of Paris’ hygiene regulations. Changes in our programme may occur due to the current situation and will be communicated in a timely manner. We advise you to check the following site 3 days before traveling to France: https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/covid-19-international-travel

Wearing a face mask is no longer mandatory, however, it is recommended in crowded spaces. Just in case, make sure you have your EU Digital Covid Certificate.
