Admission as an exchange student
With more than five hundred partner universities in 85 countries, Université Paris Cité offers multiple options to international exchange students. The admissions procedure may differ depending on the situation or the exchange programme concerned.

Université Paris Cité welcomes international students who are part of an agreement or exchange programme with one of our partner universities. These students have the status of an exchange student.
Erasmus+ Programme
Erasmus+ (EuRopean Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is the European Union’s flagship programme. It offers students of all academic levels to spend between 3 and 12 months per study cycle from European country.

Eligibility requirements
The Erasmus+ programme is open to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Application process
Students willing to carry out an Erasmus + academic or work placement mobility at Université Paris Cité should contact the international relations office of their home university in order to obtain all the necessary information and submit their application for mobility.
Once their application has been selected by their home institution, the latter will officially nominate the student to Université Paris Cité. In order to be selected, the student will have to meet all the required conditions (academic level, language level, etc.) requested by the home university and by Université Paris Cité.
The student can only start the mobility process with Université Paris Cité once he/she has been officially nominated by their home university.
Online application
Students selected by their home university and nominated to Université Paris Cité under an Erasmus+ agreement can continue the application process with Université Paris Cité by logging on to the Mobility Portal (Moveon). By doing so, they will be able to confirm their wish to join us for an exchange and prepare their administrative registration.

Students must complete the application form, provide all the required documents and information. Applications that are incomplete or do not comply will not be examined.
Bilateral Agreements
Université Paris Cité has many direct agreements with partner institutions around the world. The objective of these partnerships is to strengthen university cooperation and to allow students, on the basis of reciprocity, to enrich their academic learning, as well as their knowledge of French culture and language, by carrying out their international mobility in Paris.

Eligibility requirements
The student must be enrolled in one of Université Paris Cité’ partner universities (outside the Erasmus+ programme). An exchange agreement must have been signed between the home university and Université Paris Cité. The agreement must allow mobilities corresponding to the level and the student’s discipline.

BCI – QEP Programme
The Quebec Student Exchange Programme (QSEP) of the BCI is applicable to outgoing students who wish to study in Quebec as well as for incoming students from Quebec who would like to study at Université Paris Cité.

Be enrolled in a Quebec university that is a BCI partner. The PQÉÉ programme is open to students at the Bachelor, Master or Doctorate level.

Students willing to carry out a BCI academic mobility at Université Paris Cité should contact the international relations office of their home university in order to obtain all the necessary information and submit their application for mobility.
Once their application has been selected by their home institution, the latter will officially nominate the student to Université Paris Cité. In order to be selected, the student will have to meet all the required conditions (academic level, language level, etc.) requested by the home university and by Université Paris Cité.
The student can only start the mobility process with Université Paris Cité once he/she has been officially nominated by their home university.

MICEFA Programme
The MICEFA (Mission Inter-Universitaire de Coordination des Echanges Franco-Américain) organises student exchanges between 60 universities in North America and 17 universities in the Ile-de-France area.

Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme at an American or Canadian partner university of the MICEFA programme.

Students willing to carry out a MICEFA academic mobility at Université Paris Cité should contact the international relations office of their home university in order to obtain all the necessary information and submit their application for mobility.
Once their application has been selected by their home institution, the latter will officially nominate the student to Université Paris Cité. In order to be selected, the student will have to meet all the necessary conditions (academic level, language level, etc.) requested by the home university and by Université Paris Cité.

It is necessary to complete the application form, provide all the required documents and information. Applications that are incomplete or do comply will not be examined.
Validation & Acceptance
The MICEFA coordinator in Paris will then arrange a group meeting with the International Relations Office of Université Paris Cité to welcome the selected students on their arrival. Students will receive information about how to complete the administrative enrolment process and how to start the year in the best conditions.
Please note: Erasmus+, bilateral, BCI and MICEFA mobilities do not lead to obtaining a degree at Université Paris Cité. However, students can obtain the credentials for courses taken at Université Paris Cité after returning to their home university.
International double degrees or joint degrees
International double or joint degrees are study programmes developed and/or provided by several universities and/or higher education institutions, with at least one located abroad. They allow students to obtain an international double degree or a joint degree from Université Paris Cité and their home university. In this way, they acquire multiple skills in an international and multicultural context, which can be used during or after their studies.

Although the participation in these programmes falls under the individual mobility procedures several double or joint degrees concluded by Université Paris Cité include compulsory academic mobility periods, which fall under the exchange mobility procedures.
Eligibility requirements
International students enrolled in a double degree or joint degree programme between Université Paris Cité and one or more foreign institutions are concerned if a compulsory mobility period at Université Paris Cité is included in their joint or double degree programme.
Application process
In order to carry out the compulsory exchange mobility period as part of their double or joint degree, students must submit an application for Université Paris Cité to the international relations department of their home university and at the same time contact the administrative manager of their course. In order to be selected, the student must meet all the required conditions (academic level, language level, etc.) required by the home university and Université Paris Cité.
Once selected, the student will be introduced to the administrative coordinator of his/her course at Université Paris Cité. This coordinator will provide all necessary information to prepare their arrival at Université Paris Cité.

Students selected by their home university and nominated to complete their compulsory mobility period at Université Paris Cité as part their joint or double degree programme have to continue the application process with Université Paris Cité by logging on to the Mobility Portal (Moveon). By doing so, they will be able to confirm their wish to join us for an exchange and prepare their adminstrative registration.
