Mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction and isolation are a major concern, especially among young people. Declared a major national priority in 2025, mental health is at the heart of a widespread campaign. Université Paris Cité is fully involved, launching a series of programmes, building partnerships and providing a platform for its researchers and students.
At Université Paris Cité, talking about mental health means working towards a better future for young people and society as a whole.
Let’s Talk Mental Health: a series by Université Paris Cité
With the new “Let’s Talk Mental Health” series, Université Paris Cité offers a unique space for dialogue between the scientific community and the general public.
The first episode, dedicated to mental health in young people, was released during Planetary Health Week at UPCité. It highlights a concerning reality: anxiety and depressive disorders are on the rise, often amplified by screen use, addiction and gender inequality.
The programme, hosted by Fabrice Papillon, featured several leading figures from the University:
- Boris Chaumette, psychiatrist, lecturer at UPCité, and researcher at Inserm and Institut Pasteur
- Marie-Rose Moro, professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at UPCité and head of department at Maison de Solenn (AP-HP)
- Guillaume Airagnes, psychiatrist, addiction specialist, lecturer at UPCité, and director of the French Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (OFDT)
- Sarah Tebeka, professor at UPCité and psychiatrist specialising in perinatal care at Louis-Mourier Hospital (AP-HP)
- Grégoire Borst, professor of developmental psychology and cognitive neuroscience in education at UPCité
- Aurélie Untas, professor of psychology at UPCité
The programme, available now on the UPCité YouTube channel, combines testimonials, reports, and expert analysis. It paves the way for a better understanding of the implications of mental health issues. Watch the programme: Let’s Talk Mental Health: Young People >
