Teaching and research abroad
Teacher-researchers are the key players in higher education in the international community. Their participation in the development of international collaborations contributes to building a more competitive, attractive and recognized university.

The mobility of teacher-researchers in its European and international dimensions is part of the European Research Area (E.E.R.).
If you wish to benefit from these opportunities and carry out a mobility abroad, several schemes can be set up for your professional projects: career development, initiation of collaborations, exploratory mission etc.
Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility STA programme
Teachers-researchers wishing to go abroad to teach in one of the countries eligible for the Erasmus+ programme must first have signed an Erasmus+ STA (Staff Teaching Assignments) bilateral contract with the foreign partner institution for the year in question and in their discipline.
This mobility is open to teaching assignments of at least 8 hours and up to 6 weeks. The aim is to provide courses, generally of short duration, integrated into the official programme of the partner institution. In order to:
- sign these contracts before 30 November of the academic year preceding the mobility period
- declare your wish for mobility to the BIS by 15 September of the current academic year at the latest. (as European funds are limited, we are reaching our quota of available places earlier and earlier).
- verify the existence of a bilateral Erasmus STA (Teaching Mobility) agreement.
Teacher mobility in the framework of bilateral agreements
The mobility of teachers and researchers is taken into account in the majority of international bilateral conventions. However, the arrangements for organising and financing this mobility must be studied, on a case-by-case basis, by the various departments of the university.
