Université Paris Cité is taking part in the national DuoDay initiative on 19 November by creating pairs made up of a person with a disability and a volunteer staff member for a day of mutual discovery.
A different perspective on disability
The 9th national edition of DuoDay will take place on 19 November 2026, for the sixth consecutive year during the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEEPH).
This day offers an opportunity to meet, change perceptions and move beyond prejudice.
The organisation of this initiative within Université Paris Cité is coordinated by the DGDRHO Department for Psychosocial Risks, Professional Equality and Inclusion.
DuoDay: a win-win initiative
At Université Paris Cité, DuoDay is open to all people with disabilities — including students, but not only students — who would like to discover a profession within the institution, as well as to volunteer staff members who wish to share insight into their own role.
Through immersion in a department, a classroom or a laboratory, participants can begin or continue a path towards inclusion and discover another side of Université Paris Cité: its role as an employer.
For the university, it is an opportunity to raise awareness of disability among its teams, move beyond stereotypes, recognise the professional qualities and potential of people with disabilities, and uphold the institution’s social values.
How to take part
Are you a person with a disability and would like to discover a profession within our institution? Simply apply via the DuoDay platform by applying for a UPCité opportunity.
Subject to acceptance, you will be paired with a partner for the day.
