The Fablab
The FabLab of Université Paris Cité is a place where the most advanced and varied technologies are made available for interaction, creativity and project implementation.
The Fablab is neither a classroom nor a research laboratory, but a space designed to foster learning-by-doing. In this space, where multidisciplinary research projects can cross paths, and people of different generations can mix, the objective is to develop a new relationship between teachers and students.
This coworking space coupled with a workshop is a place for reflection, sharing of resource and knowledge, experimentation, prototyping, totally decompartmentalized by its opening to all users of the university, residents and businesses.
More specifically, prototypes, educational objects, research tools and laboratory equipment can be created and repaired. You can also train yourself in the use of machines: 3D printer and scanner, vinyl and laser cutting machines, thermoforming machine, digital embroidery machine. Collaborative workshops can take place in the adjoining coworking room, equipped with a connected table and a video projector.
