Master of AIRE Forging Interdisciplinary Solutions for Planetary Health

Our Master of AIRE is designed for students who aspire to address global challenges related to sustainability and planetary health through innovative, interdisciplinary approaches.
This programme is ideal for passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds—Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities—who aspire to become change-makers in sustainability and planetary health.
Course overview
The Master of AIRE Curriculum is dynamic and progressive. Courses’ content evolves from one year to another to adapt to our fast-changing times and reflect our living and social environment in the best way possible. Before the start of the academic year, you will establish a learning agreement with the pedagogical team, mentioning your optional courses and learning journey.
In the Master’s, you will be able to gain substantial, meaningful research experience thanks to our internship-rich programme and research courses. Our programme aims at empowering future innovators for sustainable development and promoting teamwork and collaboration thus building long-lasting ties with researchers and fellow students from all over the world.
Core/Mandatory Courses: These courses form the backbone of the curriculum and provide essential concepts for understanding planetary health, sustainability, and the application of interdisciplinary approaches.
Elective Courses: Electives allow students to specialise in topics of personal interest and career goals. They can choose courses based on their interests in sustainability, data analysis, and planetary health-related themes.
Experiential Learning & Research: The master’s programme emphasises experiential learning through internships, collaborative projects, and research-based coursework. Students are required to complete at least one internship of a minimum of 4-6 months in the first year (M1) followed by two to three internships lasting a total of 9 months in the second year (M2). These internships provide hands-on experience in real-world settings, facilitating the application of learned competencies.
