Circle U. European University Alliance

Université Paris Ciré is a member of the Circle U., the alliance of European universities which brings together nine like-minded, comprehensive and research-intensive universities. The aim of the alliance is to contribute to more sustainable, democratic and healthy societies. Circle U. has developed numerous opportunities to enable its 470,000 students and 64,000 staff members and lecturers to cooperate across disciplines, sectors and national borders.

Circle U. university partners

Circle U. was established following a project call by the European Commission to fund the creation of European universities, inspired by President Emmanuel Macron’s 2017 speech at the Sorbonne. It brings together nine research-intensive universities from across Europe.

Willing to engage in a dialogue with society outside the scope of its member universities, Circle U. collaborates with several associate partners representing local authorities, businesses and civil society organisations.
